Processes Oem02mon.exe, Oem03mon.exe, Oem04mon.exe, Oem05mon.exe, Oem06mon.exe, Oem07mon.exe are processes that belong to Creative Live! Cam Console which is a type of webcam developed by Creative Technologies.
If you own a Dell Laptop or PC it is most likely that you have a webcam inbuilt into topmost part of the monitor since the webcam which is used in Dell Laptops is a re-branded version of the Creative Live! Cam. The software to utilize the webcam is usually installed already when you first got your computer. Oem02mon.exe process and the rest of the processes are part of the driver and console application which come as part of the software package for the Creative Live! Cam. When installed the Creative Live! Cam Console is set to startup when Windows starts. Natively it resides in the System Tray. Using the console you can toggle Face Tracking ON or OFF, you can adjust brightness, contrast, color, increase the gain, and much more.
The fact is that most users including myself are unlikely to be using the Live! Cam on a daily basis. Also it is highly probable that you wouldn’t want to mess around to adjust some setting like the brightness feature by having to fetch and open the webcam software (Start -> All Programs -> etc) while you are using the webcam for some international conference call, or whilst talking to someone with the webcam. This is why the Live! Cam Console is important to be running in the System Tray unless suspected to be the cause of problems.
For this reason, and since the Oem02mon.exe process uses very little memory, approximately 2 to 5Mb, we recommend keeping this startup task so that the Live! Cam Console is available at all times in the System Tray (unless, of course, you no longer have or need a Creative/Dell webcam).
