Intel Hkcmd.exe Module Error

H Add comments

Hkcmd.Exe is a command module that is in the form of an executable file. It is an Intel key that is usually installed with Intel services that support media. It is usually not important, though it should not be stopped since it might affect the smooth running of the computer. It is mainly used to give keyboard shortcut commands and therefore comes with hotkeys.

It can be terminated by opening the display properties in the control panel. When it is disabled, the computer hotkeys stop functioning. It is a common virus that is used by spy ware and virus writers. Some malicious files are also saved in this name; thus, it can be slightly confusing. Users should check file properties before opening them. This application usually crashes when the computer is installed with windows XP. This includes re-installation of the chipset drivers and graphics cards. It can try connecting to Microsoft.com, but one can block that access. This application is risky since it uses maximum processor volume and can therefore damage the Intel drivers of the computer.

Sometimes, it gathers the information that is typed on the keyboard and therefore affects the functioning of the computer. To disable it, the user has to go to the control panel. It is important to set up a computer security task-manager since it detects whether the Hkcmd.Exe is malware or not. It occupies 4MB of the computer RAM. This space could be used for files that are more important. Thus, it is important to delete it instead of using up the space. However, disabling is not always the solution. One can run a free computer applications driver scan and check if the module is malicious. If it is not, then it can be used for the hotkeys.

The command module enables faster working for people who are used to the keyboard commands. Changing of graphic commands for a graphic designer is faster when the computer is running with the Hkcmd.Exe program installed. The malware that comes under the name Hkcmd.Exe will have more digits in the name or varying spellings but almost similar. This is meant to confuse the user when installing the program. This program allows only one process to continue at any particular time and in case there are any two processes running, it could be a sign of malware. The scan can be used to detect any errors that are related to this program in case of any doubts.
