A windows registry is a centralised database which stores settings and options of a computer. It consists of two fundamental elements: keys and values; where keys are like folders and values are like the data stored within the folders. Furthermore, they may modify system file associations and compromise proper opening of the user’s legitimate executable files causing frequent seizures or worse; prevent a PC from either booting up or shutting down properly.
