Ccsvchst.exe, which runs in the background, is an executable file added automatically to any computer system on installation of Norton software or the Symantec Service Framework.
The primary function of this process is to display the graphical user interface (GUI) of Norton products that include Norton Security Suites. When ccsvchst.exe encounters any problem, the Norton GUI comes up only after rebooting the computer system. The importance of this file at installation is that it offers an interface between the user and the system. Moreover, it detects intrusions via a common, central console and gives the user a synergic view of the systems IDS security. It limits data confusion, making it easier to identify threats in the future.
