Is it possible to turn off Cidaemon.exe?

If a computer uses Microsoft indexing service and their CPU has high utilization, then they probably have cidaemon.exe. This process updates and builds the index, which makes the searching of files faster. It was written by Microsoft Corp.

The process is a file of the windows system and contains a filtering component that manages how files are filtered. For every service catalog, there exists one occurrence of the process. C:\WINDOWS\system32\cidaemon.exe is where it is normally located. Apart from enabling faster searches of files, the process also, helps the computer run smoothly and steadily. The process usually runs in the background. It has no relation whatsoever with any hardware in the computer.
